Gallagher Security Management Systems is due to release its new Dual Pulse Trophy Plus Fence Controllers in Feburary 2006. The latest PowerFenceTM Dual Pulse Controllers have all the leading features of the existing generation of Fence Controllers, and now include significant design enhancements to maximise the security of high security sites. Double Voltage:The high voltage deterrent between any pair of adjacent fence wires on the electric fence line is now configurable to 14kV (kilovolts nominal) to help assure good fence contact. The logic behind this enhancement is that while the energy transferred to a would-be intruder provides the deterrent, it has to first reach the intruder. The greater voltage will penetrate thicker clothing to create the deterrent effect. At double the output of existing 7kV systems, 14kV between wires sets a strong standard for security perimeter fence systems. Near Double Energy:Once contact is made with the intruder, it is the energy level that provides the deterrent. At a new 4.6 Joules output energy between adjacent fence wires (500 ohm load), it's a strong, yet safe, deterrent by any security fence system standard. It is nearly double the 2.6 Joules per zone of the standard configured Trophy Plus Controllers. Twice the Wire Detection:The Dual Pulse Trophy system will revolutionise the way PowerFenceTM installations are applied. In traditional systems, the high voltage wires are interleaved with earth wires up to the height of the fence line, which means that every second wire provides no deterrent. The earth wires ensure that an intruder who is not touching the ground will still receive a deterrent pulse when attempting to climb the fence. The new Dual Pulse Trophy system can replace all earth wires with an interleaved alarmed-deterrent zone wire. The key benefit being that any wire cut can create a zoned alarm and any wire touched in a breach attempt will give deterrent. These new Trophy generation products meet national and international safety standards. Gallagher Security Management Systems is committed to applying these standards in all product development and implementation. As with existing Trophy system products the following benefits still apply:
