APPRENTICE LOCKSMITH
Established in 1971, Rechenberg specialises in locksmithing, electronic security and alarm monitoring through our own control room that monitors clients Australia-wide and in New Zealand.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Rechenberg Security and Locksmiths has an opportunity for an Apprentice Locksmith in our Bundaberg office.
While no experience is required, the role would suit someone who enjoys working with their hands and being involved with some of the latest security technology.
Training will be provided on the job and via three TAFE attendances of 6-8 weeks per year and will cover in all aspects of locksmithing including:
Road work
Installations, lock outs, site surveys for commercial and domestic clients
Automotive
Cutting and cloning of electronic transponder keys, lock outs and lock repairs
Safes
Opening, repair and maintenance
Workshop
Key cutting, repairs, counter sales and master keys systems
Electronics
Installation and repairs of security systems and CCTV
The successful applicant must be able to
- Commit to a 4 year apprenticeship
- Be up to date and maintain COVID vaccinations
- Be able to travel to Brisbane for the apprenticeship TAFE training
- Participate in the Locksmith On-Call roster for after hours call outs.
- Hold and maintain a Queensland Security Installers and Advisors licence.
- Hold a Queensland manual driver licence
- Demonstrate at a high level of computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Skills, Experience & Attributes:
This role would be ideal for someone who is driven to deliver a high standard of service with a proven ability to work unsupervised, a high attention to detail and good use of initiative, excellent communication and customer relations skills, ability to deal with pressure and computer literacy.
