Rechenberg Security and Locksmiths is an established, family run security and locksmith business based in Bundaberg, servicing the Wide Bay and surrounding regions since 1971. We work across residential, commercial and government sectors delivering professional locksmith and electronic security solutions.
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Locksmith to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to learn a skilled trade within a well established business offering long term career prospects.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This Apprentice Locksmith role will suit someone who enjoys practical, hands on work and thrives on problem solving. Every day presents new challenges requiring precision, technical thinking and strong attention to detail.
As an Apprentice Locksmith, you will work alongside qualified tradespeople while completing a Certificate III in Locksmithing. You will gain practical experience in:
• Lock installation, repair and maintenance
• Automotive locksmithing
• Safe installation and maintenance
• Lock picking
• Key cutting and master key systems
• Electronic access control systems
• Alarm and CCTV installation and servicing
• Fault finding and technical diagnostics
• Customer service and on site work
This apprenticeship provides structured on the job training supported by a formal trade qualification.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
• Enjoys practical hands on work
• Likes solving mechanical and technical problems
• Has strong attention to detail
• Is reliable and punctual
• Communicates well with customers and team members
• Holds a current drivers licence or is working towards one
• Is willing to undertake a police check
No prior experience is required. Any background in mechanical, electrical or trade related work will be highly regarded.
