The many benefits of a monitored medical alert alarm

Every year, one in three elderly people have a fall or suffer significant illness at home. Having a monitored medical alarm system in place can be a lifesaver in these types of situations – and here’s a few reasons why!

Quality ensured

Medical alert systems have been around since the 1970s, however, they’ve certainly come a long way since then! The devices we provide are extremely resilient and completely waterproof, meaning they are able to be worn even while having a shower or bath, or if you are unfortunate to be caught in the rain. With normal wear and tear, the devices can even last up to five years.

Simple to install and use

Our medical alert alarm systems are as simple as 1, 2, 3! All you have to do is plug your base unit into the wall, pop your bracelet or necklace pendant on, and perform one quick test to ensure they are working and away you go. In the case of an incident, all the wearer needs to do is press the large red button on their pendant or base station, and we’ll be in contact shortly after to help.

Fall Detection as an optional extra

Our devices also come with an optional ‘fall detector’, that recognises a major fall as soon as it happens. If the user is unable to press the button themselves, the detector will search for signs of movement, and send out an automatic signal if there is none.

Two-way voice functionality

Communication is extremely important in an emergency situation to determine the best course of action. After the emergency button has been pressed, the patient is able to communicate with the dispatcher via a hands-free microphone and speaker. The dispatcher will then follow your predetermined instructions and contact the emergency services or a designated family member or friend.

NBN Ready Solutions

The best medical alert system for your loved one needs to be compatible with NBN. Most auto dial systems use an existing phone line, which will be unusable once your area has been upgraded to the NBN. Our Rechenberg Medical Alert Alarms are NBN ready, and do not require any upgrade to communicate through to our control room.

For 24-hour peace of mind, you and your loved ones can rely on the Rechenberg Medical Alert Alarm. Give us a call on 1300 852 138, or ask us a question through our website contact form.
